For landowners in the Warwick District Council area. Local plan status checked against council sources on 12 October 2026.
Warwick District and Stratford-on-Avon District are preparing a joint South Warwickshire Local Plan to replace the Warwick District Local Plan (to 2029). Its final (Regulation 19) consultation ran from 21 July to 8 September 2026 and drew around 12,000 representations. The councils aim to submit it for examination by 31 December 2026.
The draft plan names growth locations around Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Bishop's Tachbrook, Hatton and south of Coventry. Parts of the district, particularly in the north around Kenilworth and towards Coventry, are Green Belt, where grey belt policy may be relevant. Read our plain-English guide to grey belt land.
Including land around Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Warwick, Hatton, Bishop's Tachbrook. If your land is elsewhere in the area, get in touch anyway.
Tell us roughly where your land is and its size. We do some free desk checks, then, if it looks promising and you agree, we introduce you to a land promoter who works in the area. Their fee comes from the eventual sale, and our fee is paid by the promoter. Always take independent legal advice before signing anything. More on how land promotion works.
