Selling land for development in Bromsgrove

For landowners in the Bromsgrove District Council area. Local plan status checked against council sources on 12 October 2026.

In short: if you own a field, paddock or larger parcel in Bromsgrove, a land promoter may be willing to fund the planning work at no upfront cost to you. We can introduce you to one. Nothing happens without your agreement.

Where the local plan stands

Bromsgrove is preparing a new Local Plan to 2044 under the government's new plan-making system, replacing the Bromsgrove District Plan 2011–2030. It published its notice of intention on 29 June 2026 and held a scoping consultation from 24 July to 4 September 2026. The council says a revised Green Belt assessment is underway and no decisions on strategy or sites have been made yet.

Green Belt and grey belt in Bromsgrove

The council's scoping document says about 89% of the district is Green Belt, and that it could only find part of its housing requirement on non-Green Belt land when it adopted the current plan. This makes Green Belt and grey belt review central to the new plan. Read our plain-English guide to grey belt land.

How an introduction works

Tell us roughly where your land is and its size. We do some free desk checks, then, if it looks promising and you agree, we introduce you to a land promoter who works in the area. Their fee comes from the eventual sale, and our fee is paid by the promoter. Always take independent legal advice before signing anything. More on how land promotion works.
